On-hold due to bad weather...
The plan was to set out today for the end of the Clyde Inlet, but bad weather has set in and we'll be staying put until at least Sunday most likely.
Wind: 22 mph (40 km/h) gusting to 37 mph (60 km/h)Snow (expected): .8in (2 cm)
Temp: 36 deg F (3.7 deg C)
**Wind and snow/rain Increasing throughout the day The weather would be "manageable" for now, but with the length of the trip to the end of the inlet we would be in for some nasty weather before the end. Tommy's advice is king in this situation and I am in no hurry now that I am here. I am planning on heading out this afternoon though and hiking to the large bluff to the southeast of Clyde River. I'll bring my camping kit and camp there until this weather clears and we can head out. I am afraid I'll get soft sitting here waiting for it to pass. Updates will most likely be from my tent starting later today - a good opportunity to test out my gear from this latitude. Thanks for tuning in...

A short walk down the beach and snow/ice was easy to find.
