Home away from home - a simple, yet cozy tent...
If I haven't mentioned before, this spot comes with a cabin close by. It is exceptionally well-built, I met one of the builders on day 01, relatively bear-proof and offers more that a fair bit of darkness in this 24 hour sun.
But, it isn't "home" and I could not get comfortable locking myself in at night and missing out on all that was occurring outside - minus the bears, but they've stayed away so far. After two nights in the cabin I moved into my tent and there I have remained. It is peaceful hideaway that still allows me to be lulled to sleep by the flapping nylon of my tent walls, the pitter-patter of rain and the ducks and geese on the water. A sleep mask takes care of most of the light and I am home - well my home away from home in Minnesota.jim
