About ArcticScape
ArcticScape came out of my desire to share adventures in the Arctic with others. While traveling extensively in 2007 and 2008, on Canada's Baffin Island, I was fortunate enough to meet many friends that call this region their home. It was through their stories that I gained a greater appreciation for this intriguing corner of the world. The people, wildlife and landscape that make up Canada's far north readily capture a person's imagination and once you've been, you'll always long to return.
One of histories greatest explorers, Fridtjof Nansen, once said, "Never stop because you are afraid - you are never so likely to be wrong." I think far to many of us tread cautiously on the unknown out of concern for things both real and imagined, but, as Nansen knew so well, we must not let this keep us from seeking that which may be our greatest adventure.
